Don’t Stop Dreaming

All looked hopeless to the disciples, the Messiah was crucified and now in the tomb. It was marked with the finality of a giant stone that sealed it shut.

Today there may be what seems like a finished story, a lost dream or a lost purpose in your life, sealed with what seems like a reality. I’m too old, I do not have the finances, I’m not talented enough; all your realities becoming excuses that takes your dream further away until you feel like giving up on that which God has purposed in your heart.

I can imagine the disciples sitting together talking, grieving the loss of not only a teacher but their best friend. Confused and grief stricken trying to comprehend what had gone wrong. Some of us today are sitting and grieving the loss of a dream, wondering what went wrong. If I had only done this or that maybe things would be different.

“What do I do now”? I can imagine Peter who had given up his whole life to follow Jesus asking this question. Little did he know that in just a very short time there would be a knock at the door that would bare the news that would bring everything into focus. News of a new reality, a life changing report that “He’s alive!”

God has not sealed shut the door to your dream, there is news right around the corner that will bring it back to life. Sealed doors open when God directs our path, and dead things do not stay dead when Jesus touches them. Above all don’t stop dreaming!
